This course is designed to train students in the fundamentals of handgun optic use. The focus will be on the following:

Finding the dot, Index and presentation

Dot position vs. irons

Acceptable vs. perfect sight picture

Brightness & environmental considerations

Indoor vs. outdoor settings

Managing glare and washout

Zeroing the Optic

Draw & Presentation Techniques

Efficient dot acquisition from the holster

Target Transitions

Dot tracking concepts

Malfunction & Backup Sight Concepts

This is NOT a beginner class!

Prerequisites:
Completion of the Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Handgun Courses
Required equipment:
A functioning handgun w/ an optic.
200 rounds of ammunition.
A holster to be worn on a stiff belt with at least two magazine holders.
3x Magazines with the ability to carry at least two on your person.
Eye and ear protection.
Proper clothing for the weather conditions
Athletic shoes or boot
